Band Drawings

The majority of these drawings were completed between the years 2001 to 2005 as Artist in Residence at the Hopetoun Hotel, Surry Hills.

The Hopetoun was a popular Mecca for upcoming independent bands, hosting between two to five bands every night. Unfortunately the hotel was closed in 2008 and its future remains a mystery.

These drawings were done in usually poor light to loud music with varying levels of intoxication, from many different angles depending on how late I arrived and where I could squeeze into a spot.
